I am 31 years old and live in Perth, Western Australia. I submitted my Ph.D. thesis for examination in February 2007 and have commenced full-time employment within the public sector (state government). My Ph.D. thesis is on the tomboy in children's series fiction. My current CV is available here.

My interests include (in no particular order): reading and collecting children's books, eating, cooking, listening to talkback radio, AFL footy tipping, movie soundtracks, digital photography, computing (especially hardware and building), fishing and watching television (especially reality TV and cooking shows). My favourite TV chefs/cooks are Two Fat Ladies, Nigella Lawson, Alton Brown, Rick Stein and Gordon Ramsay.
